Acupuncture Points on Doll for Medical Acupuncture

Medical Acupuncture

Medical Acupuncture is the modern scientific approach to Chinese acupuncture. There is an increasing body of scientific research showing effects of acupuncture on the body, including its regulation of nerves and the releases of neurotransmitters and hormones.

Needling acupuncture points stimulate the nervous system to release chemicals in the muscles, spinal cord, and brain. These chemicals will either change the experience of pain or will trigger the releases of other chemicals and hormones that influence the body’s own biochemical balance produced by acupuncture, resulting in stimulating the body’s natural healing abilities and promoting physical and emotional well-being.
